Slab Skirting - for Access Covers

Aluminum slab skirting is used to form the concrete opening beneath the access cover framework. The use of slab skirting greatly reduces the labor of forming the inside concrete opening and provides a finished look by covering all exposed concrete beneath the access cover. Slab skirting can be factory installed on all embedded models of Halliday Products access covers.

Applications

Slab skirting should be specified when the need to provide a finished look beneath the access cover is desired. A finished all aluminum opening will add a professional look to any installation. Slab skirting also should be considered when a more labor efficient installation is desired.

Specifications

• The slab skirting material is .125 (3mm) thick aluminum.
• The slab skirting will be skip-welded to the underside of the access cover framework.
• Slab skirting for larger access covers will be reinforced as required.
